Job Description:
The People Resource Business Partner will lead initiatives in
the compliance, risk, safety/workers comp, benefits, LOA for King's
Seafood Company. You will partner with the Director of People
Resource and People Resource Generalist's to provide support and
positively impact King's Seafood Company goals.Crew
Development/Crew Relations:Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal
requirements related to day-to-day management of crew, reducing
legal risks, and ensuring regulatory complianceWorks closely with
People Resource Director on more complex crew relations for all
locations to resolve issues in a timely manner within the scope of
our cultureSupports in legal cases with data gathering, support,
interviews, and written summariesUnderstand payroll laws and
compliance for each stateSafety and Workers Compensation
Program:Participates in annual negotiations with self-funding
insurance broker/carrierWorks with People Resource Generalist to
outlines and implements training programs about crew safety
procedures and accident protection and prevention.Manages audits
and tracks all workers compensation claims including all required
forms and timelinesParticipates in quarterly reviews with TPA to
ensure claims are being handled properly; takes appropriate action
if neededResearches and analyzes data pertaining to any trends or
patterns of communicates the results to the appropriate
peopleBenefits Overview:Leads annual negotiations with self-funding
insurance broker/carrierTracks weekly/monthly claims and partners
with accounting for financial trackingEnsures all programs are in
compliant with KSC standards. (health, dental, vision, life, 401k,
Voluntary programs)Directs projects and concerns accordingly while
partnering with People Resource GeneralistsCollects and analyzes
data and makes quarterly presentations to Executive team on
recommendations.Legal and Compliance:Supports any DFEH or EEOC
claimsOverviews state laws for all states that our restaurants are
doing business in to keep updated on any changes to the lawHas
knowledge of legal issues, commonly used concepts, practices and
procedures within the labor law fieldEssential QualificationsA
bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area5 or more years
of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 at a management
levelResilient in an ever-changing environment and comfortable
taking ownershipStrong written and verbal skillsAchievement
drivenExcellent time management skillsProficient in Microsoft
office suiteLabor law background a plusWorkers compensation
background a plusHeld positions with high level of trust and
