CareConnectMD DCE is a specialized High Needs Direct Contracting Entity (DCE) geared towards Medicare beneficiaries who reside in a nursing home. Developed by geriatric professionals, the program provides a care model that is designed to meet the unique health care needs of nursing home residents. Under this value-based care model, CareConnectMD DCE will deliver care coordination services in close collaboration with primary care physicians, specialists, and advanced practice professionals in California, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and others on the horizon.Learn more at Position DescriptionPartner with a dynamic team of software developers, integration specialists, and report directly to the product manager. Perform detailed requirements analysis, document processes, and perform some user acceptance testing. Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. Conduct analysis on business processes and systems and recommend modifications to leadership.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Building and maintaining robust, three-statement financial models to support the CFO in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning to drive overall strategic decision making of the firmLeverage programming languages and big data analytics tools to interact with large data sets, conduct actuarial analyses, and synthesize into concise summary outputsParticipate in the development and maintenance of actuarial models to support reserving, risk adjustment, and risk management initiatives (e.g. perform estimates of incurred but not reported (IBNR) expenses)Build models and financial analyses to evaluate potential growth and investment opportunities; assess the risks and merits of potential new business opportunities and articulate across a cross-functional teamParticipate in corporate financings (debt and equity) and M&A transactionsCollaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop clear, concise, and engaging investor presentations and board materialsPrepare comprehensive financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders (publish monthly financial statements, detailed reporting of service line financial results and KPI performance, and draft the accompanying Management Discussion & Analysis)Coordinate with the CFO and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingParticipate on the data governance committee; facilitate roll out of automated reporting by conveying business requirements for data accuracy and periodically and routinely auditing / improving upon reporting capabilitiesCollaborate with other departments to drive financial and operational excellence across the organizationResearch industry and regulatory trends in reimbursement, value-based care initiatives and competitive landscape analysesPerform related duties similar to the above in scope and function as requiredEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, or data science, requiredMBA (or MBA candidate), preferredMinimum three to five years of FP&A or comparable experience, requiredMinimum two years of prior health plan / managed care experience, requiredEssential Skills and Abilities:Financial modeling expertise and advanced mastery of both Excel and PowerPointData analytics expertise with substantial applied experience in the managed care or healthcare industriesProficiency in SQL or other programming languages; proficiency with PowerBI dashboardsExcellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailDetail-oriented, resourceful, and well organizedAbility to convert complex financial, operational, and analytical issues into terms and concepts that are easily disseminated throughout all levels of the organizationGreat composition, grammar, and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and successfully manage multiple tasks and deadlines; a self-starterResilience to working successfully under pressureThrive in an unstructured, start-up environmentA referenceable track record of substantial financial management and data analytics experience, including financial operations, strategic and financial planning, data-driven decision making, and capital financing in a complex environmentThorough understanding of and ability to anticipate opportunities in the managed care and healthcare industries, including regulations, competitive landscape, and industry trendsExcellent judgment in handling confidential and sensitive informationEstablishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with othersAbility to work across locations and time zonesCore CompetenciesInstills trustCuriousCustomer focusManages ambiguityCollaboratesDrives resultsTo ensure the health and safety of our workforce while doing our part to protect those around us, CareConnectMD is requiring proof of full COVID vaccination for employees as a condition of employment, subject to legally recognized accommodations.
