Job Description Summary In partnership with Advancement
leadership, the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is
responsible for researching, identifying, and securing new funding
opportunities from both corporations and foundations. The Director
is responsible for stewarding and maintaining existing partnerships
with organizations that the University has developed deep
relationships with over the years. Working collaboratively with
institutional leadership and faculty, the Director will identify
and obtain grants to support institutional priorities and projects,
faculty research, and special programs. CFR serves as a central
clearinghouse for grant requests and as the point of contact for
program staff from grant making organizations. The Director of CFR
is responsible for grants management and reporting. The Director
will also work in close contact with the Office of Government
Relations. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for
Advancement, the Director of CFR will contribute to strategic
planning, policy creation, goalsetting, and developing key metrics
to measure success. The position requires strong alignment with
ULV’s mission, values, and strategic vision, as well as
demonstrated success working in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree from accredited college or
university. A minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education
or equivalent public sector work, including a successful track
record in fundraising from foundations and experience in corporate
or industry setting. Demonstrated experience in strategies relating
to University initiatives including health related initiatives;
identifying and qualifying new institutional prospects. Ability to
work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals and to provide
excellent service to internal and external constituents. Ability to
be an ambassador of the University, its mission and University
Advancement. The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal
and written communication and interpersonal and organizational
skills; have strong attention to detail; be goal and
results-oriented; self-motivated; and possess the ability to make
independent decisions. The incumbent must be a collaborative and
team-oriented individual; demonstrate sound judgment when dealing
with a wide range of relationships and situations; possess the
ability to maintain enthusiasm for hard work, changing priorities,
and multiple deadlines; and have the ability to interact well with
a diverse community of faculty, students, and constituents. The
successful candidate should demonstrate commitment to the
