An elementary school in Lakewood, OH is seeking a full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive support to students from Pre-K through 5th grade. This contract position spans the current school year and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by addressing both ongoing and compensatory speech and language needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students with diverse communication challenges, including those utilizing AAC devices. Manage a weighted caseload of approximately 80 students, including those in Pre-K and K-5 autism classrooms. Provide compensatory services to address gaps resulting from the absence of an SLP since October. Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop effective communication strategies. Maintain accurate documentation, IEP development, and progress monitoring in accordance with district standards. Qualifications and Experience: Valid SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Experience working within an elementary school setting, particularly with autism spectrum students. Familiarity with AAC device implementation and customization. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work full-time onsite, providing hands-on therapeutic interventions.
