Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Sr Network Engineer will include:
--- Primarily performing project based work in developing the
infrastructure. (Some network support as well)--- Strong Firewall
experience ( Palo Alto )--- Supporting connection between Regional
Networks.--- Provide implementation and troubleshooting of all
aspects of the network infrastructure: LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP, VPN,
and Network Security components.--- Managing relationship with
carrier.--- Logging file review, general network health analysis---
Troubleshooting, issue resolution of responsible equipment in the
LAN/WAN environment, working with other groups to troubleshoot
issues--- Project work such as doing design work, ordering new
equipment, configuring new equipment, attending project team
meetings--- Must have strong firewall experience troubleshooting
background--- Must have excellent project coordination skills,
communication and people skills.--- Must be able to communicate
effectively and be able to work in a team environment with internal
groups and vendors--- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers 2, ASR
1, switches 3, Nexus ,7009 , 5000, 2020, Palo Alto Firewalls, VPN
3000 Concentrators & ASA Platforms, FWSM, Aruba Network Wireless
controller switches, F5 Load Balancers, Riverbed Steelhead WAN
accelerators, and MPLS circuits--- Experience with Network
Management tools, Fluke Networks NetFlow Tracker, VSS Monitoring,
Visual Performance Manager--- Hands-on experience with routing and
switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Ethernet, QoS) in a large
corporate environment--- Good knowledge and experience with
emerging technologies of Cisco ACI, VoIP (H.323 & SIP), Video
Conferencing, Wireless (802.11 environments), and Security (802.1x,
IPS/IDS, NAC)--- Experience with provisioning of data circuits:
including but limited to DS3, Ethernet and Optical Carrier
