THIS IS A REMOTE POSITIONPURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Lead IT Security Engineer provides support and expertise in the security discipline including firewalls, networks, email and PKI/certificate(s). Assist in formulating network security solution architecture recommendations and design network security services. IT/NETWORK SECURITY FOCUSWatchguard Firewall configuration and maintenance required, experience with Palo Alto and Netskope desirable.Working knowledge of Cisco ASA(s), IPSec tunnels and Network Address Translation required.Understanding of email security including Cisco Ironport (or equivalent) desired.Prior data center migrations desirableExperience with internal/external certificate distribution as well as certificate management tools (Venafi/Thales) a plus.Firewall and/or Cisco Network certifications a plus.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Installs, maintains and monitors the security hardware and software ensuring the integrity, availability and confidentiality of FMCNA information systems. Creates standard configuration and maintenance documentation for all information technology to facilitate FMCNA's compliance with regulatory and industry security standards. Applies advanced knowledge and skills to act as an escalation point for the Network Security staff providing subject matter expertise, guidance and support to ensure the efficient and effective resolution of identified problems and issues. Identifies and investigates abnormalities or degraded performance within Infrastructure elements and ensures appropriate resolution. Conducts routine audits of network routers, switches, intrusion detection systems, firewall, wireless access point, servers for vulnerabilities and unnecessary services. Identify and develop remediation plan for management review and drive the actual remediation within relevant groups. Maintains level industry competency regarding technical skills and tools. Performs risk assessment and provide recommendations to pertinent senior management as requested. May provide proposals based on the risk of new applications Conducts infrastructure control audits and control tests for regulatory compliance. Develops and supports all encryption technologies to ensure FMCNA compliance with federal and state data confidentially and disclosure laws. Drives key projects within Network Security to completion on time/budget. Provides design and configuration standards for all global WAN Virtual Private Network connectivity. Assists with communication to user community to ensure user understanding and adherence to the necessary procedures and processes to maintain security. Documents all configuration and system changes for the Network Security team. Assists with the tracking of the history of all configuration and system changes. Provides assistance to other staff with complex tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative. May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary. Mentor other staff as applicable. Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
