Staff Mechanical Engineers, Stationary Storage with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Irvine, CA. Own mechanical design for sub-systems that include low voltage circuits, high voltage batteries & power electronics.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field & 5 years [or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field & 2 years] of experience designing for plastics manufacturing methods including injection molding & extrusion. Experience must include: Working with high power & high voltage components packaging including power modules, busbars, fuses, contractors; Designing & releasing parts & systems according to a new product introduction process that include lifecycle management FMEAs, standards for drawings & defined milestones; Working with GD&T per ASME Y14.5; Experience with power components heat generation, creepage, & clearance; Managing suppliers; & Working with DFMEAs; DVPs; & 3D Modeling.
