Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

2nd Shift

JOB PURPOSE:

The 2nd Shift Process (Manufacturing) Engineer will be responsible for providing technical direction to the manufacturing team on the off shifts. In order to be effective in this role, the engineer must have general knowledge of key processes used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. This includes lamination, drilling, imaging, registration, etching and plating.

NATURE OF DUTIES:

Responsible for technical support to the off shifts, the role will interface with the specific area process engineers as well as the manufacturing and quality teams. This role will also support specific process areas from a process engineering perspective as assigned by the Process Engineering Manager. There will be additional responsibilitiesassigned as needed such as writing and maintaining engineering operating and quality procedures, investigation and documentation of customer corrective action requests in cooperation with the quality and planning engineering departments. Initiates engineering change orders to existing products and processes. Daily communication between shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
• Minimum of 5-8years experience in PWB manufacturing.
• Proficient with computer programs for Word, Excel and Laboratory Analytical Control.
• Able to use strong problem solving skills to make sound technical decisions based on experience, knowledge and logical thinking.
• Good understanding of industry standard specifications such as IPC and military as they relate to PWB's.
• Knowledgeable in statistical process control and statistical quality improvement methods.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
