WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Own hardware from concept generation to real world use * Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision * Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans * Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production * Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed * Travel to test sites as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * * * 5+ years of technical engineering experience in a professional environment * CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards * Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills * Experience with complex vehicle systems (propulsion, gearboxes, actuators, etc.) * High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles * BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in an engineering field * Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in NX/Teamcenter * Experience with composite design, analysis and testing * Experience with metallic casting design, analysis, and manufacturing * Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.) * Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing * Experience with missile design, development and test * Strong hands on technical skills - both professional and hobby US Salary Range $120,000 - $180,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
