The Role:
This mid-level position requires a strong understanding of standard email service providers (ESPs), namely Klaviyo and Active Campaign. Klaviyo is our preferred ESP for its technical prowess and integration capabilities, and experience working within it is a must. In this position, you'll be responsible for driving email and SMS (texting) related acquisition and retention efforts across clients. You must be capable of and comfortable managing dozens of automated email flows across clients, weekly targeted email sends and analyzing send data and campaign success. Of course, you will be supported by an incredible, veteran email management team.
The perfect candidate combines creativity to develop fresh, effective email content strategies with analytical skills to effectively segment email lists, read data and optimize future email efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
We seek a meticulous and methodical thinker to manage email across our client portfolio; opportunities range from E-Commerce, B2B, Medical, etc. This requires experience with expertise in email marketing, and additional experience with SMS (text) campaigns is a plus. A focus on optimizing for list growth, CTR on opens, and revenue attributable to email is essential.
This role requires a creative, dedicated marketing mind that strategically segments any email list, from 1,000 to 100,000 large, to tailor email creative, offers, and content to specific customers. Our ideal candidate must be able to collaborate with team members, work on multiple projects on parallel timelines, and stay organized in a fast-paced average workday.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage ESP & SMS accounts with total list sizes ranging from 10,000 - 1,000,000
  • Work with our executive team to develop email and SMS strategies for both existing and prospective clients
  • Implement automated email and SMS flows and manage email calendar for regular, one-time email/SMS sends with direction from the executive team
  • Own email testing roadmap to optimize email campaigns, automated flows, and specific customer segments within a larger email list for increased AOV and repeat purchases
  • Work with our creative team to optimize and test new email creative, landing pages, and new email campaign ideas in coordination with concurrent advertising campaigns
  • Provide reports and updates as needed per client requirements, and understand the impact of email marketing on LTV
  • Monitor email strategies and keep abreast of industry trends, including researching new product solutions to assist in our overall methodology and approach
  • Monitor and optimize best-in-class retention practices, from email deliverability and frequency to optimization of creative and content strategy
  • Analyze and manage email/SMS referral and loyalty programs as part of the larger client marketing ecosystem
    Our Ideal Candidate:
    • 3+ years of experience in a strategic email marketing role
    • Optional, but ideally experienced with SMS marketing as a complement to email
    • Analytical and data-driven mindset, experienced with proper multivariate testing within email campaigns
    • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of iOS 15, revenue attribution, and open rate tracking
    • Experience with analytics tools and reporting in Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and custom ESP reporting
    • Some experience with HTML and CSS as it relates to email design and development
    • Strong communication and oral and written skills necessary to present data and reports clearly to internal teams and present effectively to clients
    • Close attention to detail, given the complicated nature of email service providers, measurement tracking, and reporting setup
    • Adaptable to shifting timelines, changing scopes of work, and occasional high-pressure situations over the lifetime of client campaigns and annual sales seasons
    • Self-motivated to learn quickly and without constant direction; able to find answers to common problems while working independently
    • Extremely organized, systematic, and able to identify and address issues
    • Punctual can meet deadlines on time
