Tickets.com is looking for a Sr. Manager of Payment Services passionate about building engaging products for our fans.

The Opportunity:

The Senior Manager of Payment Services oversees all operational and strategic elements of payment processing at Tickets.com. This role is a liaison between clients, banks, payment processors, payment technology vendors, TDC senior management, Tickets.com Client engagement teams, and MLB Commerce Platform Product Management. This position is responsible for ensuring all elements of payment processing are functioning correctly. This role also includes optimizing payment processing revenue, managing risk exposure and compliance, and investigating new technologies and processes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for managing reconciliation of payment processing activity, including Tickets.com's payment platforms, payment processors, and bank deposits
  • Oversee management of chargebacks, including investigation and dispute resolution
  • Manage all fraud prevention, investigation, and remediation activities
  • Produce monthly reporting, including payment processing P&L, reconciliation with accounting entries, and detailed reports, including exception and trend analysis by individual client
  • Analyze and monitor costs, trends, and other payment-related data, as well as provide business decision support through ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Manage partnerships with Associations, Card Schemes, Banks, Payment Processors, and other Payment Technology Partners, including reviewing and making recommendations on payment processor contracts
  • Manage relationships with other departments and Tickets.com clients
  • Support all audit activities, including PCI, SOC-1, and internal & external financial audits

    Additional Functions:
    • Maintain an understanding of Tickets.com's products, services, and overall business
    • Educate internal groups on payment solutions and business impact
    • Coordinate with Tickets.com legal on the negotiation and execution of legal agreements
    • Research new global payments initiatives, monitor payment rules and regulations, investigate payment processing improvement opportunities
    • Support and guide internal product teams regarding payment processing integration with Tickets.com development staff
    • Work closely with MLB Commerce Platform Product Management

      Position Requirements:
      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related discipline
      • Three to seven years of payment processing business experience
      • Detailed knowledge of credit card processing and interchange rates, including experience with network tokenization, payments orchestration, and advanced reporting tools such as Pazien
      • Understanding of distinctions re: processing relationships and gateway dynamics (e.g., MOR, PayFac)
      • Familiarity with payment wallets/integrations (e.g., ApplePay, GooglePay, PayPal, etc.)
      • Awareness of related next-gen products, BNPL, Cryptocurrency, Order Online/Pay Cash at Retail Experience with payment fraud prevention and resolution tactics
      • Demonstrated PCI, audit, and compliance expertise
      • Ability to lead and work within a team-oriented environment to solve problems and achieve common goals
      • Working understanding of payment processing contracts and ability to negotiate various contract terms
      • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
      • Self-starter with the fortitude to remain calm and react appropriately in high-pressure situations
      • Excellent interpersonal relationship, communication, and presentation skills
      • PC proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel experience
      • Database knowledge and experience preferred including - relational databases, SQL, and Tableau
