Our medical group provides home-based medical care to chronically ill patients, many of whom are ill-equipped to navigate our overwhelming healthcare system.Objective: -The NVP, Patient Access role is the operational leader of Landmark's patient repose and acute care strategy and operations. - - In partnership with their clinical dyad partner, this leader is responsible for building a best-in-class patient experience for patients proactively calling Optum at Home's HBMC team. - This person will own both the inbound clinical call center that is the first line of all patient triage, as well as the operational strategy underlying our national Urgentivist Extender model. - This position reports to the COO. - This position requires the ability to work in an ambiguous environment with accountability for large, cross-functional initiatives. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. -Primary Responsibilities:In partnership with senior operational and clinical leadership, own and drive HBMC urgent care success, from the highest levels of strategy to the most tactical elements of daily executionProvide operational leadership to the Landmark First Clinical Call center team:Help the LM1 team excel and meet all metrics and service goalsIdentify and help problem solve barriers to scalability, standardization and effectiveness for the teamFacilitate bi-directional leadership relationships and communication between LM1 and the market teamsWork to integrate the LM1 team into the core Landmark model both operationally and culturally, be an advocate for LM1 at the EOT level and provide visibility and exposure for the work the LM1 team doesServe as the national leader for HBMC's urgentivist extender (UE) model, as well as the various EMS partnerships that exist where we have UE gaps.Standardize the market care delivery model for urgent care, including the playbook for how markets should deploy the HBMC urgent care model, defining the appropriate KPIs and reporting structure to optimize this function for extraordinary patient care.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Education and Experience:Superior reasoning, planning, and time management skillsSuperior verbal and written communication skillsSuperior telephone communication skillsSuperior multi-tasking skills, detail orientedSuperior organization skillsSelf-starter, proactive, works quickly and accuratelyProfessional demeanorProficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook CalendarBachelor's Degree in healthcare related field or business administration, Masters level a plusPerformance Factors:Ability to effectively lead Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing business conditionsAbility to adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable amount of timeAbility to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions or innovations to improve outcomesAbility to work effectively and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the companyExhibit a positive attitudeWillingness to work extended hours when projects or situations warrantTo protect the health and safety of our workforce, patients and communities we serve, UnitedHealth Group and its affiliate companies require all employees to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status prior to beginning employment.
