world.Job Purpose:Primary Emphasis will be to direct and coordinate
the development and implementation of activities in the Plating and
Outer layer imaging departments as well as Plasma and Surface
finishes to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
This is a "hands-on" position which frequently involves moving
product.Nature of Work:
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction,
equipment efficiency and materials supply
- Plans and administers procedures and budgets, Makes budgetary
recommendations
- Selects, trains and develops personnel to ensure the efficient
operation of the production function -
- Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned
areas
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the
efficient operation of the function -
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in
the manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards -
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour
requirements for the timely completion of job assignments,
Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety
regulations -
- Interprets job specifications and assigns employees'
duties
- Assists employees in adhering to set work procedures -
- Uses knowledge of machine capacities and equipment performance
to complete production schedules on time
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment
performance, and quality of product -
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to
increase department efficiency
- Reports issues and situations between employees to the proper
management personnel
- Initiates and suggests plans to motivate employees to achieve
work goals
- Recommends and initiates personnel actions, such as promotions,
transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures
- Maintains time and production records -
- May confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of
individual departments -
- Must be adept in the activities the employees who report to
them are engaged in -
- Conducts frequent "huddles" with employees to keep them
informed of internal company matters
- Additionally this role will have dotted line reports in
surrounding areas and general building oversight -
- Work with process engineering to design and/or implement copper
plating recipies
- Work with process engineering to design and implement all wet
processes.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering preferred
or equivalent experience in printed circuit plating processes
- Previous management / supervisory experience required
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to anticipate potential problems, both internal
and external, to the specific department(s) being supervised
- Must possess the ability to lead and give clear direction to
others
- Must be familiar in all PCB Wet processes such as, Copper
plating, Electroless copper Hole Preparation (Plamsa,etc..),
immersion gold and Tin and silver finishes
- Must also be familiar with H-Gold and ENEPIG
- Requires 10+ years of PCB experience and 5+ years of management
experience
- Must be -willing and able to supervise a team that works across
3 shifts and may include weekendsSalary Range(annual): $85,000 -
$110,000In addition, Sanmina Provides -a variety of benefits
