Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Sourcing Project Manager to direct and support sourcing activities for the MedTech Interconnect New Product Introduction (NPI) Team. The MedTech Interconnect NPI Team in Costa Mesa supports new product development, product launch and industrialization ramp up.What You Will Do In Your Role

• Lead supply chain development activities for the Costa Mesa site across the full range of directly procured materials, components, and subassemblies. Examples include raw cable, plastic resins, molded components, connectors, SMT electronic components, PCB assemblies and other hardware for electronic assemblies.
• Work with corporate and divisional organizations to leverage company-wide sourcing and procurement capabilities, share best practices, and continually improve sourcing systems and processes.
• Develop knowledge of technical requirements and specifications applicable to our suppliers. Work with design engineers and quality team to ensure purchased components meet all requirements and all SQA processes are implemented.
• Provide project support and work with NPI team to facilitate to ensure timely material supplies during new product introduction and product launch.
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other software to access and maintain approved vendor list data, product Material Masters, Bills of Materials, Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders. Ensure high quality for all ERP system documentation.
• Support resolution of supplier quality and delivery issues including root cause investigations, corrective action planning, and follow-up tracking.
• Communicate technical feedback between vendors and the cross functional team including redline drawings, manufacturability assessments, design improvements proposals, and specification changes.
• Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate price and terms, and summarize to program teams.Work with the cost estimating team onthe RFQ process.The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME, EE, etc) or a minimum 3 years of technical sourcing experience
  • Experience in a production environment or experience sourcing with electronics assemblyWhat Will Put You Ahead
    • Experience in Sourcing and Procurement in the electronics industry
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS
    • Experience with SAP
