Job Description: Role Summary/Purpose: The VP, Solution
Architect is responsible for the technical stewardship of multiple
software development projects or programs. This experienced
architect possesses the skills to take prompt decisions, lead a
team of developers, manage deadlines and other technical problems.
The Solution Architect must have a balanced mix of technical and
business skills and often works with enterprise architects for
strategic direction. The VP, Solution Architect needs significant
people and process skills, with ability to communicate complex
ideas and issues in simple terms to project teams, external
clients, and often senior management. They also need to deeply
understand the business processes to create a cohesive vision of
the products and services. We're proud to offer you choice and

or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested
to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement
activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build and integrate information and computer systems that meet
specific needs, typically involving integration of the software and
hardware that best meets the purpose defined by an internal or
external client.
- Get involved in a project early, when analysts start developing
requirements, and then remain involved till the end.
- Examine the current systems architecture, and work with
business and technical staff to recommend solutions that result in
more effective systems.
- Organize the development effort and often provide motivation
and guidance to the entire development team during the SDLC.
- The VP, Solution Architect ensures the execution of the vision
by providing direction to the designers and developers on how to
build the prescribed solution.
- Select the most appropriate technology for a problem, and
balance architectural concerns of the project with the business
considerations of the enterprise.
- Be the Lead Solution Architect in business initiatives,
responsible for defining:
- How technology can be used to solve a given business
problem?
- Which framework, platform, or tech-stack that can be used to
create a - -solution? Which patterns, methods and tools will be
most effective and productive?
- How the application will look and feel, what the components
will be, and how they interact with each other?
- How things will scale for the future and how they will be
maintained?
- Figuring out the advantages and risks in third-party
frameworks/platforms?
- Oversee the programming, integration, and testing of software
systems and associated devices.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 11 years of experience in
multiple IT areas OR, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED 13
years of application development experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of development experience in Service
Oriented Architecture, enterprise Integration -frameworks, cloud
based integration platforms.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in development, design, delivery
of IT services using MuleSoft.
- Minimum 3 years of experience is managing a solution
architecture function in a large/medium scale organization
preferably from the Financial Services industry -involving
Integration technologies and API Management Solutions such as
MuleSoft, APIGEE etc. Desired Characteristics:
- Strong working knowledge of fintech Industry as it relates to
consumer financing.
- Hands on experience developing end to end production grade
MuleSoft integrations.
- Hands on experience developing MUnit test cases.
- Experience & knowledge in MuleSoft deployment models -
cloudhub, on premise, RTF etc.
- Experience with Maven and Java.
- Experience integrating with Salesforce, Databases, External
SaaS applications and complex on premise applications using
MuleSoft.
- Experience implementing multiple integration solutions such as
REST APIs, SOAP WS, File based integrations, Batch jobs.
- Experience with Messaging middleware such as JMS, Kafka,
Anypoint MQ, RabbitMQ etc and working experience leveraging
messaging middleware tools for MuleSoft integrations.
- Knowledge and experience implementing variety of Integration
Design patterns such as event driven, Publish Subscribe, Message
routing, content enrichment, batch processing, error handling with
MuleSoft.
- Deep understanding of security concepts such as SSL/TLS, OAuth,
SAML, OpenID Connect, JWT etc.
- Experience with CICD and DevOps processes , guided/implemented
CICD processes for MuleSoft deployments.
- Knowledge and experience building and deploying apps Public
cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
- Familiarity with networking and security concepts pertaining to
cloud technologies such as AWS.
- Experience defining API policies using API Manager and other
API Gateway products.
- Deep experience in Micro Services, Micro Frontend
architecture
- Deep Agile expertise.
- Critical thinking and creativity.
- Experience building and deploying application on Cloud
platforms.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks like Zachman
or TOGAF Grade/Level: 12 The salary range for this position is
130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual
bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual
compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based
upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are
adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background
investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding
process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of
the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service
with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. -
Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the
associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before
they can post for future non-exempt roles. - Employees, level 8 or
greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they
can post. - All internal employees must consistently meet
performance expectations and have approval from your manager to
post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the
time in position or performance expectations). Legal authorization
