Job Description:
The Behavioral Health Technician staff is under direct
supervision providing direct adult supervision; assists in the
maintenance of a safe, secure environment that enhances treatment.
The Behavioral Health Technician operates in a transitional,
residential environment.We are recruiting for specifically for EMTs
and Veterans. The following licenses are also a plus:Mental Health
Specialists, Paramedics, and LPTs.This residential house is
specifically for clients who are first responders. The residential
home is in Corona Del Mar, CA.*ABOUT ACERA HEALTH*"Acera" is the
Spanish translation for Pathway. The biggest challenge in Mental
Health that is discussed among behavioral health fields is the
level of success anyone can achieve when taken out of their
day-to-day environment. A varying amount of success is due to
simply changing the environment.The challenge we wanted to conquer
was finding a "Acera" to success that clients can achieve here
across multiple aspects of their lives. Ensuring that our clients
achieve a continuous upward trajectory of mental health from where
they are today, and into the future. Our incredible staff
unanimously concluded that our focus should be on client-centered,
individualized solutions. Solutions that use treatment as a partner
and the clients-strengths as a guide to empowerment and
self-advocacy.*DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ** Provides care
to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the
therapeutic environment.* Assists clients with activities of daily
living; attends to client behavioral issues and provides assistance
in crisis intervention, as needed.* Works with a multidisciplinary
team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups,
community meetings, life skills, and/or recreational activities, as
appropriate to the specified population.* Charts client
observations, following policy and procedures
requirements/mandates.* Participates in the development and
implementation of treatment programs.* Maintains confidentiality of
client and all records.* Transports clients to and from community
appointments, clinics, labs, and/or treatments, as and when
appropriate.* Maintains established policies and procedures,
objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental
and infection control standards.* Document and utilize Electronic
Medical Records.* Attend all mandatory staff meetings, group
sessions, and in-service education.* Perform other duties as
assigned.* Night shift differential*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: **
Attainment of at least 18 years of age* A Criminal Background
Clearance - Livescan* Driving record* A Health Screening with TB
test results* Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination.* High School Diploma
or equivalency test preferred.* Must be detail oriented with good
oral and written communication skills.* 1 year experience working
in residential treatment with knowledge of co-occurring disorders.*
At least 18 years of age*REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: ** Valid
California Driver's License* Current First Aid/CPR certification*
RADT (Preferred) pay DOE* Behavioral Health Technician Certificate
(Preferred) pay DOEPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:The
physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the
employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel
and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with
hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand;
walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Job
