*Job Description**Nsight Psychology & Addiction*is looking for FT, PT and per diem *Mental Health Workers* to fill positions within its Short Term Crises Stabilization Facility in Orange County, Ca.The Mental Health Worker is responsible for providing direct care services to residents and for facilitating with the day-to-day operations of the program. As a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team), the Mental Health Worker assists with patient behavior and management and supervision of residents. He/she must help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and assist with the implementation of the program schedule in accordance with the patient's individual needs and services plan.*Duties and Responsibilities** Responsible for conducting psychotherapy groups. Complete Group Therapy Notes.* Responsible for taking an inventory of resident's personal items upon admission;* Responsible for ensuring that residents remain on the property and do not engage in negative behaviors;* Assists in providing continuing care planning by making contacts to appropriate referrals.* Demonstrates appropriate use of crisis management skills and tactics;* Facilitates the intake process from initial inquiry through admission to ensure appropriate treatment for all prospective residents.* Provides guidance, support and psycho-education to residents and their families throughout the treatment process.* Documents all information according to licensing, certification, and best practice standards.* Provides case management throughout treatment including linkage to community resources, education, and employment.* Functions as an integral member of the clinical team providing information and direction to coordinate client care.* Engages in community outreach to assist in client development through community services.* Develops relationships and interact with outside resources to strengthen client support system and discharge plan.* Provides counseling support to residents, assists in the resolution of emotional challenges and the development of healthy coping skills.* Meets with resident multiple times per week to coordinate progress toward treatment goals and serve as a liaison for resident throughout treatment.*Qualifications and Education** Must be at least 18 years of age.* *Education*: Shall have a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Social work; graduated from high school or possess a GED and have a minimum of one year of full-time experience, or its part time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities. Such experiences shall be in providing direct services to clients.* *Knowledge*: Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions preferred.* *Special Skills*: Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Excellent communication skills both oral and written.* *Other Requirements*: Shall be in good health and shall be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks. Good physical health shall be verified by a *health screening, including a test for TB*, performed by or under the supervision of a physician *not more than one year prior to or seven days after employment. Said* health screening shall confirm the individual's physical qualifications to perform the duties to be assigned as well as the presence of any health condition that would create a hazard to the person, clients or other staff members at the facility.* Hiring is contingent upon receiving DOJ and FBI clearance or Criminal Record Exemption.* Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred prior to employment*Shifts Available*:PM Shifts 3:00pm-11:30pm (Fulltime)Part time Weekends 7am-3:30pm (Part time)*Compensation*: $19.00 - $22.00 per hourJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per DiemJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftCOVID-19 considerations:Yes weekly covid testing for all employees.Education:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)* Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: One location
