5.11 Tactical Retail Store opening soon at: 3030 Harbor Blvd, Suite
#G-3 ,Costa Mesa, CA 92626, USA
The Retail General Manager will be responsible for delivering an
exceptional 5.11 brand experience for both customers and team
members as well as building and maintaining customer relationships
while achieving store sales goals through team leadership,
financial accountability and achieving results. You are the primary
change leader, subject matter expert and communicator to your store
team about all Brand, District and Region initiatives. You lead
your team through a compelling vision of these initiatives and
model the skills and behaviors to bring them to life. You are the
link between 5.11's brand vision and how it comes to life in your
store. You ensure your store achieves all key metrics and is
meeting or exceeding profitability goals. You are the head
merchant, which means you lead, follow up, coach and train on
business analysis and merchandising decisions. You proactively
create the store business plan to drive profitable sales through
forecasting and scheduling. You hold your team accountable to
delivering results through our Core Values (S.U.I.T). You own
creating a positive talent development culture in your store,
leading the overall skill building and development of your store
team in line with Company initiatives. You will personally coach
and develop your direct leadership team along with other key talent
in your store. You create an inclusive culture of learning
application and high performance through talent acquisition,
developing, coaching, and holding your team accountable.
Establishes and oversees plans, budgets, and variable costs for
store; works with comparable sales to last year (YoY), sales to
budget and future trends to maximize profitability
Accurate recording of sales figures and performs cash operational
Reduces financial risk by ensuring overall operations are managed
within our standing operating procedures.
DELIVER OVERALL BRAND EXPERIENCE
Directs and models 5.11's Core Values (S.U.I.T.), Mission, and
Service standards providing an elevated customer experience.
Works closely with 5.11 Tactical Merchandising team to execute
merchandising updates, identify opportunities and develop long-term
strategies that support continued store growth. Serves as "Visual
Lab" when required by our Merchant and Visual Merchandising
Leads and delegates merchandise processing, price changes,
replenishment, and recovery of sales floor to brand standards.
Provides "Best in Brand" retail merchandising standards.
Leads and manages all in-store omni channel sales processes; Ship
from Store, BOPIS, BORIS, etc.
Directs and models an efficient and customer focused cash-wrap
Ensures housekeeping duties are completed to maintain a safe, neat,
clean, and professional store experience.
Establishes, monitors, and follows up on sales goals, sales plans
and sales budgets to optimize profit.
Executes reductions, price changes, and all inventory management
duties (physical and virtual).
Unloads delivery truck, receives, opens and unpacks merchandise
Follows and executes safety and security routines to prevent loss
and guarantee employee and customer safety
Ensures all cash is handled in line with operations standards and
any related risk is minimized
Has working knowledge and oversees use of all Company systems in
store. Serves as pilot when required, for future system
Maintains appropriate supply levels to minimize any operations
Ensures team is trained in the appropriate fitting techniques and
executes consistent fitting room standards. Provides customers
"Best in Brand" product knowledge and selling experience.
BUILD CUSTOMER & 5.11 EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIPS
Creates an environment that maintains a 100% focus on customer
Responds with an elevated level of ownership and urgency when
customer expectations are not met
Directs and models selling behaviors to build customer
relationships and brand loyalty
Ensures friction-less returns in store regardless of which channel
the goods were purchased
Models and supports use of store tools and systems to nurture
Finds and facilitates "bulk business" sales opportunities
Develops and guides efforts to establish relationships with local
public safety organizations
Supports local "operator" discount program (formerly established
through our "Ready Room").
Partners well with local Territory Manager to ensure all non-retail
customer needs are met.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree and/or 3-5 years of retail
experience - apparel preferred
2+ years of retail store management experience required
Proven ability to provide a superior customer experience and drive
