Vertisource HR is currently seeking a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to join our team!

The Human Resources team member is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management in supporting clients. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: workers compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

A few key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Provides human resources support both internally to VertiSource HR's employees and externally to high value clients as needed. This is to include benefits administration, employee relations, policy implementation and recruiting.
  • Partners with employees, clients, and clients' employees to communicate various human resource policies and procedures, to include federal and state laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Manages workers compensation program to include administration, process management, claims management, client relations, and federal and state compliance.
  • Manages OSHA compliance, to include communication and training.
  • Assist with affirmative action programs; filing of EEO-1 report annually; maintaining other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Must be proficient with ACA requirements and filings.
  • Performs benefits administration to include COBRA, open enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to clients and employees.
  • Assist with 401k change reporting and administration with client plan changes.
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee grievances, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
  • Represents clients for all unemployment claims through state unemployment responses, appeals and in-person hearings.
  • Drafts and conducts HR-related training to client and VertiSource HR employees. This shall include management training, harassment training, and any other training requested by the CEO or the clients.
  • Conducts job analysis and creates job descriptions for clients as needed.
  • Administers recruiting process for clients to match candidate experience with client specific job-related requirements. Develop and post job ads, screen resumes, conduct interviews and make candidate recommendations to clients.
  • Manages all daily administrative tasks for the HR department (i.e., verification of employment, various mail, wage garnishments and benefit information requests, unemployment correspondence, etc.).
  • Maintains client and employee files.
  • Assists the team with any other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of multiple state payroll requirements and termination guidelines to include (but not limited to) California and Utah.
  • Ability to maintain information confidentiality.

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • 7-10 years of proven ability to navigate end-to-end HR function.
    • 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
    • Proficient with payroll software.
    • Proficient with technology.
    • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Proven experience in an HR position in a fast-paced environment required.
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws.
    • Sense of urgency, background with a high volume of transactions.
    • Excellent understanding of common HR procedures.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time.
    • Ability to efficiently complete tasks and projects while incurring interruptions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Spanish Speaking a plus.
      Education/Experience:

      Bachelor's degree in business or HR preferred.

      Work Environment

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with visits to clients in various industries and various locations.

      This is an onsite office position with occasional travel.

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, see, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. Physical demands associated with the occasional driving and/or other transportation to client sites described below are also a part of this job.

      Salary:

      $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
