Role

We seek a highly motivated and talented Java Developer to join our team in building an advanced rules engine to enable very complex payment rules for healthcare-related payments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex healthcare payment solutions that serve millions of people every day. Preference given to candidates in the Bay, Phoenix, Dallas, Austin, and Miami/Fort Lauderdale areas.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions in Java
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and deliver innovative healthcare payment products and solutions
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with the software in a timely and efficient manner
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies and apply them to our healthcare payment solutions
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to identify and resolve software defects
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable codeQualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Java development
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus
  • Experience with Kafka is a big plus
  • Experience with databases, preferably Azure SQL and CosmosDB, is a big plus
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
