A growing financial services organization is looking to add another
in-house litigation attorney to their team. This organization
handles 95% of their litigation work in-house. If you like
litigation but want better work-life balance, this could be the
role for you. This is a hybrid role with only 1 day onsite/week.
Position includes a 10% quarterly bonus and comprehensive benefits
including a 6% 401K match. Position requires 5+ years of civil
litigation experience in state court as well as an active license
to practice law in California. Experience representing creditors is
preferred.
salary: $165,000 - $175,000 per year

Responsibilities
Reviewing file documents to prepare and draft code compliant
discovery responses for state court matters. Reviewing discovery
responses, preparing summaries, preparing meet and confer letters.
Reviewing and responding to meet and confer letters, drafting
supplemental responses. Reviewing and finalizing complaints for
state court matters. Preparing and responding to motions to compel
discovery responses. Preparing oppositions to motions to vacate
judgment, motions to quash, etc. Preparing and drafting various
motions and oppositions, including motions to strike, motions for
judgment on the pleadings, summary judgment motions, etc. Preparing
trial documents including Statement of Compliance, witness and
exhibit lists, assembling trial notebooks. Handling all aspects of
trial.
