Any offer of employment is contingent upon your successful completion of a pre-employment substance abuse and physical screening, verification of documents pertaining to your right to work in the United States using E-VERIFY, and completion of required employment documents GRISWOLD INDUSTRIES Job Description CNC Multi-Task Operator-Horizontal (2nd Shift) JOB DIMENSIONS: Job Summary: Under moderate supervision, set-up, operate, adjust, and edit programs on CNC multi-task horizontal machining center and related equipment; check work for conformity to work specifications and quality standards; and perform related job duties as assigned. Reports to: Machine Shop Supervisor Examples of Duties and Responsibilities: \n Set up, operate, and adjust program/offsets on CNC multi-task horizontal machining center in accordance with engineering specifications, production drawings, production procedures, and verbal instructions; \n Check work in process for adherence to quality and production standards; \n Change settings for various production runs \n Obtain and return work supplies from tool crib as needed; \n Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment operating conditions; \n Use hand tools as required; \n Complete accurate production/work records; \n May deburr parts in completing production work; \n Operate jib crane and bridge crane to load and unload parts; \n Familiar with hitching and rigging equipment and their use; \n \n Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and \n Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations. \n QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES : Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following: Experience/Training/Education: A minimum of 3 years recent experience and training in editing programs and setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC multi-task horizontal machining center in a production environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: \n Considerable knowledge of methods and techniques for operating CNC multi-task horizontal machining center and related hand tools and equipment; \n Knowledge of safe equipment operating procedures and work practices; \n Knowledge of proper fluid levels and coolant recovery; \n Ability to operate and adjust equipment control settings; \n Ability to check machined parts for conformity with work specifications and quality standards; \n Ability to read and interpret blueprints; \n Ability to operate computer to access, edit, and maintain company documentation and files, as required for assigned position and/or job at hand; \n Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others; \n Ability to use precision measurement and hand tools; \n Ability to operate jib crane and bridge crane; and \n Knowledge of safe hitching and rigging techniques to manipulate parts. \n \n Physical Requirements: \n Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift, move, and carry tooling and materials weighing 25 pounds or less; \n Ability to reach equipment control settings; and \n Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined; \n Reasonable accommodations provided upon request. \n \n Special Requirements: \n Acceptable set of machinist's tools may be required; and \n Safety shoes required. \n \n Griswold Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer - BY CHOICE Griswold Industry's VEVRAA AAP is available to any employee or applicants for employment to inspect upon request. • The AAP is available for inspection in the Human Resources office, located at 860 W. 17th St, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, between the hours of 7:00am and 2:00pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays and shutdown periods.
