IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desires to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Packer for a great international manufacturing company located in Costa Mesa, CA. 1st shift. (6 AM TO 2:30 PM) Job Summary: Under moderate supervision, packs valves in proper cartons, crates, or boxes for domestic or export shipments in accordance with prescribed procedures; and performs other duties, as assigned. Examples of Duties and Responsibilities: * Stencils or attaches shipping instructions on cartons or crates, as instructed. * Properly prepares and packs valves for shipment under general supervision. * Builds special crates and skids. * Drills and bolts valves to avoid shifting and to provide protection from damage in transit. * Operates forklift and hoist to move crates. * Operates small hand and power tools. * Operates table saw. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Ability to match shipper invoices to the shop invoices of the packaged parts and valves. * Ability to respond to rush orders especially the last week of the month. * Working knowledge of United Parcel, Parcel Post, and air freight shipping procedures. * Ability to follow written and oral instructions. * Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers. * Ability to operate a foam machine and stencil machine. * Ability to operate a postal metering machine. Physical Requirements: * Ability to use hand trucks to move valves and a bility to bend, lift, move, and carry materials. Special Requirements: * Safety shoes.
