Job Description:
Data Governance ArchitectAAA is seeking a Data Governance
Architect to join our growing Data & Analytics organization. -
Candidates should have a solid grasp of data governance standard
methodologies with prior experience in data governance
Architecting. -Roles & responsibilities:
- Develop Data governance policies, operating model & an
implementation plan
- Implement Data Governance initiatives and enforce data
governance policies across the enterprise
- Participate in development of the organization's data
architecture strategy including the database design and structure,
data integrity and database tools
- Support the advancement of key data efforts, including Data
Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality and Data
Engineering Programs
- Provide a centralized view of data initiatives to partners and
management
- Identify opportunities and work with business stakeholders and
partners to embed good data management practices into their daily
operations and business processes across all departments.
- Perform gap assessments and create recommendations to ensure
progress towards organizational adoption of data governance
transformation.
- Continually assesses and identify risks within the
organization's data management practices, ensuring they are
mitigated and in compliance with the Data Governance policies
- Defining and implement a Data stewardship process
- Assist in identifying data stewards for data definition
development, change management and data ownership within
organization
- Develop Standards, Policies and Workflows to ensure best
practices are utilized throughout the development of the Governance
structure
- Act as a liaison between the data governance and business teams
to communicate and educate on data governance procedures and
policies
- Identify Critical Data Elements (CDE) across all departments
and map it to physical data elements across all data assets
- Develop a Gold/Silver/Bronze data asset certification process
and create processes and procedures to inventory current and future
data assets
- Establish Reporting and Communication channels that will
support ongoing Data Governance activities
- Keep up to date with changes in data protection law and
regulations
- Carrying out data protection monitoring activities and
producing process plans for the business.
- Implementation of New Privacy Regulations
- Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be required,
commensurate with the role, bearing in mind the developing needs
and demands of the organizationQualification:
- Should be able to quickly grasp diverse subject matter
representing various business units across the organization, data
topologies, understand how data traverse through organization, pain
points and where data governance should be implemented.
- Should be able to assess and implement data privacy
initiatives.
- Good Knowledge of CCPA or other data privacy regulations.
Implementation experience is desired.
- Understanding of the Technology and Tools needed around Data
Governance Initiatives such as Master Data Management, Metadata
Management, Data Quality & Data Catalogs.
- Good understanding and work experience using Collibra Data
Governance suite is required
- Should possess interest and ability to keep up with new &
emerging technology and data architecture methodologies
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify relationships
between various datasets
- Ability to translate requirements into technical
specifications
- Experience in data modeling and architecture development
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the
ability to create effective management reports and
presentations
