Job Description:

*Job Title: Host*

The hostess or host greets members as they enter the restaurant, takes and confirms reservations, shows members to their table, and provides the menus. They may also support other staff members by assisting with bussing or serving duties.

*Responsibilities and Tasks*

* To check, prepare, and deliver quality food in a timely manner with accuracy, speed, courtesy, and cleanliness.
* Great members and guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
* Assign members to tables suitable for their needs
* Provide members with menus
* Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
* Speak with members to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints
* Receive and record members' dining reservations
* Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and members' concerns are addressed
* Inform members of establishment specialties and features
* Direct members to coatrooms and waiting areas such as the lounge
* Monitor cleanliness of lobby, patios, and restrooms throughout events
* Understand government health and food service regulations
* Understand government alcoholic beverage service regulations
* Carry our any additional requests from supervisors
* Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all food menu items including the wine list
* Assist all servers, bartenders and other service staff with the delivery of items to member tables
* Communicate effectively and courteously with members and co-workers
* Communicate food orders to Chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
* Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions
* Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers

1 year of restaurant experience preferred

Country Club experience preferred.

ForeTees experience preferred.

Jonas experience is preferred.

* *Computer Skills *

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,Word, etc.) software, internet skills, POS, and Foretees software.

* *Certificates, Licenses, Registrations*

Valid Driver's License.

CPR/AED certified preferred
