Salary Range:$50.5900-$77.7500/hourJob SummaryThe Cyber Security Systems Engineer participates in establishing and maintaining the corporate wide Cyber Security program to ensure information assets are adequately protected. The Cyber Security Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of companywide security devices.The Cyber Security Systems Engineer will have experience architecting, implementing, and administering security devices and technologies. With oversight from the Cyber Security Engineering Manager, this individual will create security roadmaps, perform product evaluations, recommend technologies, implement new capabilities, and perform day to day engineering relating to Cyber Security. The Cyber Security Systems Engineer supports and maintains Cyber Security controls and specific projects or initiatives by applying subject matter expertise and thought leadership in the subject area. The Cyber Security Systems Engineer will work with Hoag IT, physicians, facilities, departments and vendors to accomplish Cyber Security specific deliverables, procedures, policies, and initiatives to include:--- Support of Hoag Cyber Security policies, procedures, standards and guidance consistent with Hoag and regulatory requirements.--- Serve as a subject matter expert and engineering for Cyber Security components such as but not limited to DLP, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Network Security Monitors (NSM) and Cloud Security solutions.--- Follows project methodologies to complete assigned tasks.--- Provide analytic & countermeasure support Cyber Security controls.--- Ensuring applications and infrastructure services are designed and implemented to the highestsecurity standards.--- Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis--- Research weaknesses and find ways to counter them--- Keep up to date with latest testing and ethical hacking methods--- Conducts tests of network infrastructure, applications and security architecture to identify potential weakness and make recommendations for improvement--- Assist in designing security best practices and policies.--- Participate in Cyber Security Incident Response activities.Education and Experience Bachelor s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related technical field; Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirementThree to five (3-5) years as a Systems Administrator, Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Security Engineer, Network Engineer, or Network Security Engineer requiredThree (3+) or more years cybersecurity experience including risk assessments, systems engineering, and secure architecture requiredFive (5+) or more years of advanced working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems requiredImplementing and operating security related tooling such as SIEM, email security, certificate management, and SOAR requiredAbility to use automation tooling and frameworks such as Python, Powershell, Chef, and Terraform requiredExperience in a hospital or health care related organization of similar size and complexity preferredExperience with core networking services like DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and load balancingExperience writing standard operating procedures, systems requirements, and general documentationExperience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies requiredExperience automating server configurations to include standard build installations and system security hardening requiredStrong working knowledge of software defined lifecycle, automation tools, and orchestration requiredStrong oral and written communication skills and ability to gauge the audience and speak at appropriate levels. The ability to put complex concepts in a clear and concise form requiredExcellent time management skills required, ability to set priorities and meet obligations in a timely mannerLicenses RequiredCurrent CA driver's license required for local travel
