Job Description:
A company is looking for a Referral Specialist who coordinates
and performs all aspects of the patient referral process.
Key Responsibilities
Enters referral orders in electronic health record (EHR) and
submits to the authorization team for approval
Coordinates patient appointments and communicates appointment
details to patients
Monitors referrals and responds to incoming patient calls related
to referrals
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office, hospital, or
medical call center required
Familiarity with standard concepts and practices within the
field
Competent to meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned
