ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule production of goods, including resource requirements based on purchase orders Coordinates supplies, raw materials, and ingredients from the warehouse Sets employee schedules and ensures efficient employee rotation throughout the production facility to operate at targeted and scheduled throughput Coordinate employees on positions in production line, including blending, mixing, packaging, labeling, and shipping to fulfill orders Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure productivity and efficiency that output is maximized. Perform routine audits to ensure preventive maintenance, repairs, adjustments and equipment troubleshooting Provide production procedures Ensure the safety of all employees in the operation of machinery/equipment through proper training, enforcement of safety rules, and following proper procedures of SOP's, GMP's, QC, HACCP, and sanitation procedures. Cross train in various functions of the production department Direct and support inventory management utilizing FIFO/LIFO methods for material storage and handling Insures compliance with all Company Quality Control policies, as well as all Federal, State and Cal/OSHA regulations. Responsible to provide proper and accurate documentation of all daily records Continuously analyze and improve current systems to improve the efficiency of planning and decision making. Lead continuous improvement projects while working efficiently with team members. Provide technical support and work with sales staff in support of developing new products. Reports to the Plant Manager on a daily basis. Monitor manufacturing processes and make recommendations to management to help maximize current resources and minimize costs. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proven years of food-industry related experience along with knowledge of HACCP & GMP required Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proven and demonstrated leadership experience in a Team setting environment Excellent computer skills, analytical skills, including utilizing ERP systems, effective oral and written communication, math and reading comprehension. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: P.P.E requirement Ear plugs, hair/beard net, apron, smock, gloves, non-slip boots Carry, lift, push, pull up to 40lbs Production facility environment Loud ambient equipment/machinery, operation of equipment/machinery Location: Los Angeles, California Carson/Torrance/south bay area Willingness to work night shift, holidays and weekends (if necessary) Sponsorship of H-1B Visa holders is not offered
