Job Description Entry level: Facility Maintenance Mechanic We are a membership-based Workshop / MakerSpace providing commercial tools and expert training for ambitious people wanting to learn new skills and contribute to our Maker community. This position will provide the right candidate with the training and knowledge to become a well versed maintenance technician, able to accurately diagnose and repair various types of equipment and systems. New team members will have the opportunity to take free Urban Workshop training classes to learn about the equipment and services we provide to customers and develop their personal skill set. Requirements: -- High School diploma or GED -- 18 years of age at time of application -- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools -- Must be naturally curious, and enjoy Making -- Basic to intermediate computer skills (G Suite) -- Ability to communicate clearly, in written and verbal form -- Desire to be a positive contributing member of a small team -- Reliable transportation -- Must pass a basic criminal background check Responsibilities include: -- A passion for delivering Customer Service -- Diagnosis and repair of various mechanical and electrical machines and components -- Promotion of Workshop products, services and educational offerings -- Desire to learn new techniques and skills -- Taking the provided classes to elevate your skill set We have full-time and part-time positions available working mornings, evenings, and weekends.
