Buyer: Gifting and Logistics Manager Costa Mesa, CA --- Gifting Department Job Type Full-time Description Responsible for managing the daily operation of the gifting department including but not limited to planning, forecasting, developing, and coordinating all information related to product and gift development. The position is responsible, in partnership with Management and Gifting Specialist(s), for identifying vendor partners when purchasing products as well as sourcing when developing new products. The ideal candidate will provide information and ideas to develop assortments, key items, promotional strategies, and growth opportunities that are viable while providing an exciting member and end-user experience. This role communicates with vendors and manufacturers, and serves as the key department contact.Requirements The **Buyer: Gifting and Logistics Manager** will develop and manage the team of people in the department as well as:* Identify business opportunities and risks through analyzing sales performance and competitive landscape* Demonstrate an understanding of product trends, historical data, and internal input at the category level to manage assortments, opportunities, and risks* Identify business opportunities and risks through analyzing sales performance and competitive landscape* Prepare all samples for product photography needs and marketing purposes* Develop strategic promotion planning following the master annual gift calendar* Be an integral partner with visual merchandising; responsible for all schematic planning, packing diagrams and photography; Evaluate effectiveness and address concerns as needed* Attend strategic planning and best seller meetings and present information to the group* Actively manage vendor relationships and oversee the logistical matters relating to product orders, deliveries to fulfillment centers, and update management internally on progress* Provide strategic support and recommendations through the product development lifecycle* Manage SKU maintenance, setup, and updates for the department* Sample management**What You'll Bring*** BA/BS degree or commensurate work experience required.* Minimum 3 years' experience as Manager/ Associate Buyer/Logistics specialist in lifestyle goods.* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.* Demonstrate an understanding of product trends and historical data to provide recommendations on assortments in partnership with the Manager.* Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills, ability to clearly communicate with an appropriate sense of urgency.* Strong knowledge of retail/wholesale/msrp math calculations.* Ability to handle multiple priorities, shifting tasks and timelines.* Ability to work autonomously, strong decision making skills with good judgement.* Ability to be the key contact person on the business with vendors and service providers.
