Job Description:

Currently, TEA (Texas Education Agency) is a CAPPS HUB Agency. The goal of this position (which will be in the Finance division) is to review the current configuration instance for efficiency and evaluate best use cases moving forward that may reduce workload on staff resources, increase accuracy in reporting, and reduce maintenance of the existing systems.This will include working with cross-divisional executives, directors, and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO to review current TCAPPS business processes, which will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is required.
• Leading analysis to re-engineer or develop processes necessary for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
• Working with business customers to gather requirements for the system and/or process improvements and report development.
• Responsible for consistent use of project standardized processes and forms, including but not limited to, Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, Risk and Issue log, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation, Business Process Flows, and other project documents as needed.
• Providing input to project management to estimate the level of effort required for customer-requested activities.
• Preparing detailed documentation in support of any of the activities listed above as requested by management.
• Completing a full range of testing and configuration as needed.
• Designing, testing, and building queries to assist with business process improvement.Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices.
  • 10 years of experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement.
  • 10 years of experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms.
  • 10 years of experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas.
  • 10 years proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
  • 10 years of experience with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • 10 years of experience with CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, AP, Cash Receipts, Inventory, Assets, and Grants.
  • 10 years of experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules implementation and post-go live experience with an emphasis on process improvement.
  • 5 years leading five (5) or more State Agency CAPPS Financial Implementations.
  • 2 years preferred familiarity with TCAPPS configuration with TEA.
  • 100% Remote, Work Location Within the United States - Austin Region Preferred as possible in-person meetings may be required. No travel will be paid.
