Full-Time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher:
Center-Based Pay and Benefits: Pay scale: $ 70,304 - $84,000
depending on education and experience Comprehensive health

currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Early
Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role is
center-based at our early childhood center in Pacific Beach. MUST
hold a special education credential OR a Master?s in Special
Education (or related field). Our Mission and Vision: At

intervention-focused, full-time, inclusive preschool where all are
welcome. Collectively, our staff provides the support, care, and
education that enable typically-developing children and children
with disabilities to learn, play, and thrive together . Position
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Special
Education Teacher who is passionate and committed to working with
children, supporting families, and collaborating with a team of
therapists to create safe and nurturing environments where all
children thrive. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in
an inclusive classroom and experience differentiating and modifying
curricula, materials, and environment to meet the needs of each
child. Responsibilities: Lead teacher for our infant, toddler, and
preschool programs (ages 3 months-5 years) Create developmentally
appropriate child-centered curricula, instructional materials,
goals, and strategies consistent with each student?s individual
needs Create curricula that honor and respect each child, with
particular attention to inclusive and anti-bias practices Cultivate
a community of belonging where each child feels seen, heard, and
valued Create a nurturing and safe environment to meet the various
needs of students Develop differentiated methods of instruction to
meet the needs of each student Familiarity with various observation
and assessment methods Collaborate regularly with our therapy team
and parents Serve as an advocate for all students Track goals,
update assessments, and coordinate student success plans for all
students Experience in classroom management Encourage a learning
environment of celebration and respect for differences
Qualifications: Applicants MUST hold a Bachelor's degree in Special
Education, Child Development, or other related field from an
accredited program. Applicants MUST have either a valid state
credential in Special Education and certification in Early
Childhood Special Education OR a Master?s Degree in Special
Education Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
and/or infants and toddlers (ideally in an inclusive setting) is
required. Knowledge and expertise in assessing and treating a wide
range of suspected developmental delays or disabilities in the
areas of fine and gross motor skills, cognition, communication,
self-help and social-emotional areas Basic knowledge of commonly
used ASL words. Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and
written, to collaborate and interact compassionately with children
and with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Candidates
should possess a deep understanding and appreciation for cultural
diversity, with the capacity to engage effectively with individuals
from various backgrounds. This includes the ability to adapt
communication styles, work collaboratively in multicultural teams,
and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural nuances. Successful
candidates will be committed to fostering an inclusive and
equitable work environment, promoting cultural competence, and
contributing to an organizational culture that values diversity.
Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and early
childhood development and a genuine belief in the power of
inclusion. Demonstrated understanding of individualized treatment
planning and the ability to adapt interventions and differentiate
instruction to meet diverse needs. Ability to work effectively as
part of a transdisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers,
therapists, and other professionals. Empathy, patience, and a
genuine passion for working with children of all abilities.
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a pilot program and
work in a collaborative, innovative environment. Regular access to
reliable transportation. Commitment to continued professional
development Conversational Fluency in Spanish a big plus! Livescan
clearance and criminal record check required Current pediatric CPR
& 1st Aid certification required Physical Requirements of the Job:
Applicants should be comfortable: Standing for 2 plus hours per day
Stooping, bending, climbing, and walking frequently Lifting up to
40 pounds Possible appropriate and physical interventions in order
to maintain a safe learning environment Position students in
specialized equipment, and/or change diapers as needed. Reasonable
